Whispered Wanderings

This kindness I’ve given to myself:
I’m the only one who could.
It happened all at once today,
when I thought it never would.

I realized I’m finally free,
I’ll perseverate no more.
This spark of love that lit my heart,
I’ve never felt before!

Closure found within ourselves,
does not require goodbyes.
I hold no bitterness or hate,
which comes as some surprise.

I feel like dancing in the street,
my joy is quite profound.
Took so much work to get here,
but I’m now on solid ground.
