Whispered Wanderings

Let’s move to Mars
because why the hell not?
It’s closer to the stars
and we’d never be hot.

We’ll leave the politicians
and conspiracy theorists here
to continue with their missions
to destroy our old frontier.

And once we’re situated
on that big ol’ reddish rock,
will it be what we’ve awaited?
Or another aftershock?

I don’t know what we’ll come to,
all us humans in future days.
But if we make a breakthrough,
then we just might change our ways.

I hope we can, before
we really have to move to Mars.
Our Earth deserves much more
than we’ve given back so far!

I’d love to see our Earth-Race,
work together all as one:
please help me set the pace,
til our future we have won.
