NaPoWriMo 2023 Day 24

Today’s prompt: “to write a poem in the form of a review. But not a review of a book or a movie or a restaurant. Instead, I challenge you to write a poetic review of something that isn’t normally reviewed. For example, your mother-in-law, the moon, or the year you were ten years old.”

I am feeling a bit silly this afternoon which I’m afraid resulted in a rather lackluster effort on my part. Forgive me, eh? Maybe I’ll come back later this evening and write something more worthwhile…

In My Head

Although more hospitable
than it used to be,
thanks to therapy,
I remain a bit skeptical.

My heart’s where I wanna live
and recommend,
she’s mine to defend;
Where I come to forgive…

Then end up back in my head
just as quickly
and oh so fickly
when feelings are overfed!

I cannot give a good rating:
this place is dark,
like the belly of a shark,
and proud to be frustrating.
