2 weeks in already! Where is the time going? I went off-prompt today, after reading a quote about the “one choice away” thing. I’m not entirely satisfied with this, it feels like it wants more, but for now, it is enough.
One Choice
One choice, I know, is all that it would take
to send me down a wholly different road.
It’s not because I want to make a change,
But more, this choice has started wanting me.
And so I’ll run the other way today
In hopes I can outrun it for awhile…
But if 60 years has taught me nothing else
I know that which I run from seeks me more.
Yet for today I’ll hide within the bliss
of willfully ignoring that which calls,
until I can no longer stay this course
And having no choice left, will then relent.
