Whispered Wanderings

Today’s prompt is to write a Sea Shanty. Not sure if I’ve ever seen a proper “sea”… oceans, rivers, lakes and streams, sure, but can’t recall ever having seen something that’s actually called a Sea. What’s the difference between a sea and an ocean anyways? Well, now that I’ve written my attempt at a Sea Shanty, I can go research… don’t tell my former Geology prof, I should remember…. lol

Sea Shanty (of sorts)

We’ll sail the seas of open highways
(into the setting sun)
travel into our future days
(into the setting sun)

Together we’ll roam across the land
(beneath the rising sun)
Heart to heart and hand in hand
(beneath the rising sun)

You’ll raise a toast, and so will I
(under the setting sun)
‘til one of us is meant to die
(under the setting sun)
