Broken Glasses
My glasses broke a week before
I’m scheduled to replace ‘em.
So now they’re taped up like a nerd
would do. It’s tough to wear ‘em!
They keep on falling off my face
whenever I lean forward
Or sitting crooked on my nose.
I wish time could fast-forward!
But maybe there’s a lesson here
for what do glasses do?
They help us focus on our lives,
see everything we do.
I’ve got some new perspective
after all on seeing clearly:
So when I get my new ones
I’ll appreciate them dearly.
