Whispered Wanderings

Gratitude

Reminded tonight by a stranger, that
this body I occupy
is a testament to the value
to the beauty
of the life that I have lived.
As I transition into
the next phase of life
that 60 years brings,
I shall remember this,
stand tall, with a smile,
moving ever in gratitude
for how far I have come
and for where I have yet
to be.
