An Unexpected Gift
I received an unexpected gift today
a turtle, carved in stone.
A bit of synchronicity, perhaps
though they could not have known
how much this new one means to me.
Feelings felt but never shown
bloom with wild intention in my heart
and I love
oh how I love!
With an intensity I could never own.
He comes now representing peace,
a symbol of the earth, and of slowing down.
Bringing with him ancient wisdom
and a reminder of how I’ve grown.
